Outcome & Impact

Shapeshifters helped bring the Designing Tomorrow project to life — a publication designed to turn big, complex ideas into something people can understand, share, and act on. From the start, we worked closely with the authors Professor Martin Tomitsch and Steve Baty through a co-design process, capturing key insights live and shaping a clear direction for the book. This early alignment helped define the audience, strengthen the messaging, and set up the content to succeed.

As the book developed, we kept a hands-on co-design approach. Design and writing moved forward together, chapter by chapter, so the visuals didn’t just decorate the pages — they carried meaning, supported the narrative, and made the content easier to absorb. Each stage included collaborative sessions to test ideas, refine the story, and make sure the final experience felt cohesive and purposeful.

The result is a book built for real-world impact. Practical “1% Change” sections help readers reflect, learn from examples, and apply the ideas in their own organisations. This work has also earned national recognition, winning a Good Design Award in 2024 — a strong sign of the quality and professionalism we bring to publication design.
